| A
Note From Walt
I had every intention of writing a Spring
report for 2010, but having spent most of the Spring
out in the beeyards, correspondence was challenging.
The Summer is now in full force as I compose this on
July 9, 2010.
Spring came early, very early. Just as the last snow
was diminishing from the 3 major snowstorms that we
encountered, the first signs of Spring beecame apparent.
Here in Chester County, everything came into bloom 2
to 3 weeks early and the bees soon had a smorgasbord
of nectar sources available. The majority of our overwintered
bees were ready for this early honey flow, and we were
on our way to erecting "towers". April and
may were very favorable to nectar collecting. We had
plenty of sunshine and enough rainfall to keep the flowers
and the bees smiling. June was a rather dry month, yet
even as the flora was drying out, our bees were able
to secure enough nectar to maintain the brood nest and
contribute some to the honey supers. We are currently
in the midst of disassembling our "towers"
as we harvest the honey provided to us by our "beeloved
honeybees".
We currently have our "Totally Raw" honey
in stock. Bear in mind that the honey has been recently
extracted and will likely still bee in its liquid form.

Our Bee
Pollen Is Now In Season
Besides pure
and raw honey, Swarmbustin’ Honey is proud
to offer fresh
bee pollen. Here at Swarmbustin’
Honey our bee
pollen is now in season and we are harvesting
pollen daily to ensure you the freshest
bee pollen available.
Swarmbustin'
Honey is currently offering two types of Fresh Bee Pollen:
Lighter May 2010 Pollen: Bee Pollen
collected in May tends to be brighter in color, and
perhaps a little sweeter (to some).
Daily Harvested Bee Pollen: Darker
in color than the May harvested bee pollen, this pollen
has the added nutritional value of the Propolis
being brought in simultaneously with the pollen by the
bees, as the girls are already getting ready for winter.
Dutch Clover is currently in bloom providing the bees
an abundant source of pollen which also contributes
to this rich darker pollen.

FRESH
CROP - 2010
TOTALLY RAW HONEY IS NOW AVAILABLE.
In
it's fresh liquid form,
Swarmbustin' Totally
Raw Honey is a rare and temporary delight. You
can enjoy it as it is or let it rest in a cool place
to speed its inevitable crystallization.
Un-heated, un-filtered honey,
with all of the enzymes intact; this honey is a medical
marvel as well as a culinary delight. Totally Raw honey
is simply spun out of the honeycomb and allowed to crystallize
naturally.
"Totally
Raw Honey" has been carefully extracted
from the honeycomb using centrifugal force. The honey
is allowed to fall freely from the extractor directly
into the bottle. We use no heat, filters or strainers
while bottling "Totally Raw Honey". There
may be pieces of bee pollen, propolis and honeycomb
on the top of the jar. All of this is nutritious. In
the event that there is not much visible on the top,
there are still pieces of pollen, propolis and honeycomb
suspended in the honey, so you get truly "Totally
Raw Honey" in every spoonful. |
